Analyze & Filter

Find Analyze & Filter within the Explore Journal Feature.

Deepen your research with Analyze & Filter, a comprehensive journal analysis feature of APA PsycInfo research services that enhances discovery of a journal’s trends and core strengths through layered filters.

This tool will allow researchers to pinpoint a journal’s most prolific author, identify a main topic of coverage, or combine filters for the top authors on specific topics. Users can easily confirm the most prevalent methodologies overall, those for a selected author (or two), track changes to those statistics over time by adjusting the publication dates filter, or create unique filter parameters.

Find this feature within Explore Journal, where you can see the anatomy of a selected journal by its publication years, content types, topics, authors, and methodologies. From there, find content of interest or track journal statistics by selecting the most relevant filters. Select as many or as few filter criteria across the various fields, in any combination, that best suit your research needs. The optional layers of analysis are numerous and entirely up to you!

The results at the bottom of the screen will change as you customize options, and selections are indicated by the multicolored tags at the top of the Analyze & Filter feature.

Access Analyze & Filter by selecting a hyperlinked journal title or navigating to “Journal” under the “Explore” section of any record and then expanding the purple “Analyze & Filter” drop-down.
